Watching tumbleweeds roll down the street
of the small Southern California town where he grew up instilled in
Shawn David Madden a passionate desire to see the world.
The first-born son of musical parents (one an award-winning
opera singer, the other a talented songwriter), his love for music
developed early; and eventually he followed his passion all the way to Boston,
earning a BA in Professional Music at Berklee.
Since then, he has been performing semi-professionally, cutting his performing and
songwriting teeth on Subway platforms, Open Mic stages, and all kinds of social gatherings.
In 2005, he released his first EP, "5 Songs in April", which was
recorded at Big Block Studios
in Fall River, Massachusetts.
In November, 2006, after being laid off from a unfulfilling management position,
Shawn decided to capitalize on his Professional Music degree by producing a series of
Living Room Concerts at his own home in Belmont, Massachusetts.
The series was a raving success, with over-capacity crowds squeezing into
the living room to witness the blossoming of Shawn's original music.
He then hooked up with Ed and Joe Basile of
Solstice Studios in Stoughton, Massachusetts. They are sponsoring the recording of Shawn's new
CD, "Garden Of Dreams", which is due to be released in late Spring, 2007.
Shawn has only three more songs to complete before he has his first full-length album.
With a planned release date in September, it will be out just in time for the start of the
"Rock Star Parking Tour 2007", which will be the first of many musical journeys....
